Juggling blocks
I made three sets of juggling blocks the other night...one for Israel, one for Daniel, and one for me :)
We're practicing every day and maybe
we'll have our own circus act in the future!
I made them using the pattern
in Denyse Schmidt "Quilts" book,
with linen, cotton fabric
and filled them up with rice.

Cute! They remind me of the 'bean bags' we used to use when I was in school. Except these are way more beautiful of course!
I love them! What a great idea. Let's see if I can guess whose are whose:
Chickens - Daniel
Insects - Israel
Flowers - Geninne
I love the set with the japanese style flowers...beautiful!
Oh Geninne, they are so cute! I am learning how to quilt with some other ladies at church at the moment, we are loving it! I am going to attempt a quilt for my baby boy who is due soon.

These are so cute! That is such a great Idea. I do wish that I could quilt. Instead I am making collages and trying to sell them at etsy. you should check out my blog sometime. Have a great and wonderful day!
They're extra beautiful, "with sprinkles," as my friend would say.
These are so cute! :) Good luck on your circus-project! ;)
i like them gennine! seems like u have magic touch! each of the things u do always appear extra special.
Your talent is endless!
I've been trying to think of little gifts I can make for the kids at our family reunion. These may be the answer. Everything you do is first rate. Today I posted a photo of my clean studio. Your's is so tidy I just had to have mine look that good. Love your art.

I them... We (I) made some bird shaped bean bags the other day... perhaps we should try juggling...

I just got that nifty book... thanks for your posts and sweet blog. It does my heart good to read it!
They are just gorgeous-happy juggling!
very cute!
Hello Geninne,
Love your art work! But not this one. Filling the bags with rice is a waste of rice, I think. There is rice shortage going on now in many parts of the world, and people are starving literally due to rice shortage.
I am not writing this to hurt you but hoping that you would give it a thought.
A big fans of yours,
Sam
how cute! what a great way to showcase a favorite motif or part of a print in a piece of fabric. Thanks for your continued art/work and sharing with us!
So cute!!! What a great way to use scrap fabrics too! : )
These are so fun!
So wonderful!
