Hand carved ship

Once you start carving
it is very difficult to stop doing it :)
I highly recommend it.
I used my trusty Speedball lino cutter
and a Staedtler 2½" × 2½" × ¾"
carving block for this one.
The ships in the background
are from my collection of vintage postcards.

the ship turned out really wonderful! Its a contrast from the lovely organic shapes of the previous stamp...but both are distinctly yours!

Geninne, your stamps are fantastic! Do you mount them to anything for ease of printing? Do you buy extra large stamp pads? I'm so envious of you!

That is a very nice stamp! I have carved a few and used a different kind of block, but I like the ones you have much better. I may try those next.

Oh I have been inspired! I just bought some lino recently and some carving tools - I haven't done anything like that since highschool - but I love the idea of making my own stamps. Thanks for sharing your fantastic work!
