Little blooms

The wild flowers don't come out here until the fall.
But I carved myself a little stamp garden today.

this is such a great idea. i love how you made each one look unique. how do you stay so prolific? do you ever go through droubts? you're always working on something. it's amazing, but seemingly impossible to me as a mom. any advice would be so helpful and appreciated :)

Oh itty bitty stamps! How cute, but not as cute as all the great puppy pictures.

I got into stamp carving through letterboxing. You might love letterboxing if there's some in your area, otherwise you have to start it to get the trend going. It is a treasure seeking game involving hiking in a lovely spot and collecting art via hand carved stamps that you follow clues to find in a box. I hope that's not confusing. Letterboxing is a ton of fun and my kids love it too. You can look at Letterboxing.org/mexico
to see what boxes are hidden in your area. Then you print out the clues, get your kit set up and go adventuring!

Everyone else can look at letterboxing.org and there's links to other countries.

I didn't plan to talk about this, it just came up. Thanks for sharing your lovely blog!

These are so so cute!!

FYI... I went out and bought the tools/materials you suggested to make stamps. I tried my hand at it and am now EVEN more impressed with your abilities!! I did... okay for a first try... but I'm so impressed with how tiny you can get the details. That is what I had trouble with. And doing circles! Those were tough.

p.s. that stuff DOES cut like butter, I was shocked!

please keep on inspiring!!!!!!!!!!

hello,
I've discovered your blog a few weeks ago and I have to say I am really impressed by your works.
those stamps are soo cute.
in addition, I've inspired myself from how you carve your stamps and I did one myself. it is really fun. however, I live in france and I could not find the carving blocks you use so I used a rubber!
thank you for your sharing...

your stamps are great. so often I want to make stamps but never know where to start. I think I am going to have to do some research on how to make them and were to get the rubber. I cant go back to Lumen's however, cause I will spend way too my moola there like I did last week.

When I saw this *smack forehead*, I HAD to make my own set of similar (five stems--some leafy and some bare, five flower heads, and three separate leaf shapes) and it's just been the most fun I've had carving and stamping.

Thank you and God bless you, Geninne, for always being such a wonderful inspiration, in both what you do and how you do it, with such obvious joy and aplomb.
