Spoon Oil

Spoon Oil
I gave my spoons some much needed love and affection
with Stephanie's wonderful spoon oil recipe.
Just sitting there early in the morning polishing wooden spoons
was incredibly relaxing and almost therapeutic, I highly recommend it :)

I finally made some of this after seeing your first post on it. I even gave it as Christmas gifts. Not only is it a therapeutic activity and good for your wooden utensils, but your hands end up quite soft in the process!

i don't like to use any petroleum products in my home ( mineral oil is a petroleum product, even food grade mineral oil). I just rub them with a little melted beeswax or some almond oil.

I oil my wooden kitchen tools (spoons, spatulas, shovels, knives) with turnip rape oil.

Your recipe came at the right moment. Just last week I said to mr. Husband that we should do something about the wooden cuttingboards because they have a very rough surface. Thankx for your advice :D Hugzz...Peebee
