Tunic
Yesterday I went all Project Runway and tie-dyed some beautiful aqua
Globalweave linen I had stashed from Purl Soho and sewed myself a tunic
based on one I bought on Etsy three years ago from Linumgirl.
I eyeballed the pattern (I had never made a garment before)
so it's a little different but I'm really happy with my new hippie top.

Totally beautiful! I'd love to use it as a cover-up while sipping lemonade next to a pool!
too funny. i was just looking up different tie dye techniques. i was going to do up some linen too. how did you tie it?
This is gorgeous. I admire your bravery. I have many pieces of special fabric that I am just too scared to cut into, even with a pattern. I love that you just eyeballed it and it looks so great!
love it so much
and i bet it looks gorgeous on you
big hug
You should be happy with it...it's gorgeous. I admire that you had the idea and acted on it without hesitation. Such creative bravery! I love the turquoise with it as well.
Beautiful tunic!!!
Wowza, very nice! Love the way the color turned out and the style is pretty sweet too :)
Your tunic is just stunning!
Very lovely. T'would be so nice with a lovely stitched feather on it too...

It's beautiful. The dye has really taken and if that truly is your first time at making a garment, well done, looks great.
OH man! That looks so delicious and cozy.
everything about it is perfect. Would love the pattern or some guidelines please
This tunic is really beautiful! It gives me hope that I may take up sewing again.
What a beautiful tunic and tie-dye job! It reminds me of the indigo-dye technique from my province in China. I've been meaning to take a workshop on learning the Bai dye method. I can't seem to find a good link for it, but here's an example: http://www.minpaku.ac.jp/english/museum/exhibition/china/pe.html
Is there anything you can't do??? Just wondering, LOL! Beautiful Geninne!
Genius! Lovely color, too!
Fabulous hippy top! Very impressed with your Project Runway prowess. Will you embroidery the feather on the collar?
feeling a pull to get my machine out and create. your dyeing is gorgeous, love the result! xxx
Sounds like a wonderfully fabulous day!
Thank you for always inspiring me with your beautiful blog!
Love your hippie top. You are so very talented and inspiring!!
Geninne, I really love how prolific you are with your blog posts, your projects, your ideas, etc. I think bloggers like you are visited very often because people like me NEED to see interesting new things all the time. There are some successful businesswomen out there who have blogs but do not post regularly, though they keep their FB pages up-to-date with their latest products/events, which is quite disappointing, and it's really heartening to see bloggers like you really pulling in your readers with such fresh ideas, ALL THE TIME. No wonder your little business seems to be growing in leaps and bounds! Keep up the beautiful work...you inspire so many people from all over the world!
This looks absolutely gorgeous and drapey Geninne! Would love to see what it looks like on :)
This is STUNNING. I am absolutely in love with that tye-dyd! Did you follow a tutorial of some sort, or just go with gut instinct?
Love the tunic perfect as a beach tunic. Kudos!
It is fabulous! Everything about this tunic!
